Glance down in the Obsessive Exquisite Vila Blanes teddy and you see a black cord crisscrossing up its center, between panels of nude tulle embroidered with black flowers, toward the underwire cups. A wide band marks the waist, sheer black mesh continues below it, and the back is open.
The cups are made of skin-toned tulle with graphic black embroidery and a scalloped edge, supported by underwires. Below them, embroidered panels frame a narrow center opening laced with a black cord in a crisscross pattern, and a wide black elastic band marks the waist. Under the band, the teddy continues in sheer black mesh with high-cut legs, and it fastens at the crotch with a three-position hook closure. At the back, an adjustable hook closure sits under the shoulder blades, below it the back is open down to a second adjustable closure at the waist, and the mesh covers the hips in a thong cut.
Vila Blanes in a teddy feels like a modern take on a corset. The lacing at the front gives it a sculpted, slightly provocative center, the embroidery keeps it romantic, and the waistband draws a clean line around the body. The real surprise is the balance between front and back: the laced center makes the front look closed and sculpted, while from behind the teddy is open from the shoulder blades to the waist. On its own it is refined, intimate and full of character, and with long gloves and over-the-knee boots it turns bold and almost theatrical.
