Payment Policy

Lascava offers secure payment through major card networks, PayPal, and mobile wallets. All prices on the site include VAT. Currency conversion details for card payments are explained below.

Accepted payment methods

You can pay for your Lascava order using any of the following:

  • Visa and Mastercard — credit and debit cards
  • Apple Pay — on supported Apple devices
  • Google Pay — on supported Android devices and Chrome browsers
  • PayPal — including PayPal balance, linked cards, and bank account

Available payment methods are shown at checkout based on your device and region.

Pricing and VAT

All prices displayed on Lascava include VAT at 23%, the standard rate applicable in Poland where Lascava is based. The price you see on the product page is the price you pay — no additional taxes are added at checkout for delivery within the European Union.

For destinations outside the EU, the same price applies, but local taxes or duties on import are not collected by Lascava. As described in our Shipping Policy, recipients are not charged customs duties or import taxes on delivery.

Currency

Lascava supports three display currencies: USD, EUR, and GBP. You can switch currency in the header of the website at any time. The currency you select at checkout is the currency used to charge your card or PayPal account.

If your card or bank account is denominated in a different currency, your bank will apply its standard exchange rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. Lascava does not control or charge these fees.

Currency conversion for card payments

Card payments at Lascava are processed in Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH) by our payment provider WayForPay, in accordance with Ukrainian payment regulations. The amount you see at checkout in your selected currency (USD, EUR, or GBP) is converted to UAH at the time of payment, and your bank then converts the UAH charge back to your card's currency at its standard exchange rate.

What this means in practice:

  • The total charge on your card statement may differ slightly from the amount displayed at checkout, depending on your bank's exchange rate and any foreign transaction or conversion fees your bank applies.
  • The difference is typically small — usually less than 1-2% of the order total — but exact amounts depend on your bank.
  • WayForPay displays a notice about this currency conversion on the secure payment page before you complete the transaction.

This applies to card payments only. PayPal payments are processed directly in your selected currency (USD, EUR, or GBP) without UAH conversion. If you want to avoid currency conversion, PayPal is the simpler option.

Payment security

Card payments at Lascava are processed by WayForPay, a payment provider certified to PCI DSS — the security standard for card payment processing. PayPal payments are processed directly by PayPal under their own security framework.

Lascava does not store your card details. Card data is entered on the secure environment of the payment provider, encrypted in transit, and never passes through Lascava servers. The entire site operates over HTTPS with SSL encryption.

3D Secure verification

Card payments may require 3D Secure verification — a one-time code sent by your bank, or a confirmation in your bank's mobile app. This is a standard security step required by EU regulations (PSD2 / Strong Customer Authentication) and helps protect against unauthorized card use. If your bank requests 3D Secure, follow the prompts to complete the verification.

If your payment fails

If a payment is declined or interrupted, you will be returned to the checkout page where you can try a different card or payment method. Common reasons for declined payments include insufficient funds, an expired card, an incorrect CVV, or your bank blocking foreign transactions. If you continue to have trouble, contact your card issuer first — most issues are resolved by approving the transaction in your bank's app or by phone.

Order confirmation

When your payment is successful, you will see an order confirmation page with your order number and a summary of the items purchased. Within a few minutes, a confirmation email is sent to the address you provided at checkout. If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder or contact us at info@lascava.com with your order details.

Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Refunds to cards are processed within 7 days of us receiving and verifying your return. Depending on your bank, the refund may take an additional 3-7 days to appear on your statement. PayPal refunds typically appear in your account within 1-2 days.

Bank or third-party fees

Some banks or card networks may apply their own fees on certain transactions, including:

  • Foreign transaction fees — if your card is issued in a country or currency different from the one you select at checkout
  • Currency conversion fees — if your bank converts the transaction into your account currency

These fees are charged by your bank, not by Lascava. If you are unsure whether your bank applies such fees, check with your card issuer before completing your order.
