How the cup is built

The lower cup is a stable matte knit with vertical seams running through it, and the upper cup is sheer tulle with an elastic floral lace stitched over it. The centre between the cups and the section under them are a smoother knit with tulle. Gorsenia builds the cup this way to gather the bust towards the centre, lift it and hold a rounded shape, and how that plays out depends on the fit.

Sides, straps and closure

The sides are wide and cut from a firm lycra knit, each carrying a vertical bone that is there to keep the bra in place. The straps are the other part worth knowing about: they are sewn and widened rather than plain elastic, built from foam, trimmed with lace and lined with cotton, and the width changes with the size. They adjust for length and do not detach. Closure is hook-and-eye with three positions, two rows on the smaller sizes and three on the larger ones. Composition is 90% polyamide, 7% elastane, 3% polyester.
