Bands 65 to 100, cups D to M, and no foam anywhere in the cup. The Gorsenia Paradise K496 is an unlined underwired bra built for large and plus size busts, with beige tulle under black eyelash lace and two thin straps crossing the upper cups to meet at a small ring at the centre front.
How the cup is built
The upper section is beige tulle with delicate black lace over it, finished along the top edge with narrow smooth elastic. The lower section is a double layer of tulle, black over beige. Underwires follow the lower and outer edge of each cup, and the seamed tulle panels do the rest of the work, drawing the bust in toward the centre and lifting it. The centre gore is cut to sit flat against the sternum and carries a small bow, discreet enough that it is easy to miss. A second small bow sits where each strap joins the cup.
With no moulded shell, the shape comes from the seams, the tulle and the wires. Those seams and the lace can stay visible under thin or close-fitting fabric.
How sheer it is
The cups are see-through, and more so in wear than the black colour suggests. The lace reads darker over the tulle beneath it, and only the front is transparent, since the wings and back are solid knit. Under dark or heavier clothing the lace and seams are unlikely to stand out, but under thin or pale tops they may show, which is worth knowing before you order.
Band, wings, and closure
The side panels are wide, cut from a firm lycra-type knit, with vertical bones fitted in every size to help stabilise the wings. Straps are smooth, adjustable and not detachable, and get wider as the cup size goes up. The decorative straps across the front are stitched in place and do not unclip. Closure is hook-and-eye, two or three rows depending on band size, with three positions of adjustment. Rings and sliders are black, matching the straps.
Why this one gets worn rather than saved
This is the piece in the collection that carries an evening on its own. The lace runs across the whole front rather than sitting as a trim, the crossing straps and centre ring give it a harness note, and the beige tulle underneath makes the black lace read as pattern against skin rather than as a solid cup. Black keeps all of that legible while staying the easiest version to wear under real clothes.
Fabric
90% polyamide, 7% elastane, 3% polyester. Without foam cups the bra folds flatter than a padded style, which matters if you pack it.
Sizing
Cup letters follow the continental sequence with no DD step, so they run D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M. The manufacturer's grid is not a full rectangle:
- Band 65: cups F to M
- Band 70: cups E to M
- Bands 75 and 80: cups D to M
- Band 85: cups D to L
- Band 90: cups D to J
- Band 95: cups D to I
- Band 100: cups D to G

Who the Gorsenia K496 suits best
Best for: anyone who wants the bust drawn inward and lifted rather than left where it sits naturally, from D right through to M. The wide firm wings, the bones in every size and the two or three rows of hooks are all there to carry weight, and the design holds up in the larger cups rather than tailing off after G.
Not ideal for: anyone who needs an opaque cup, a smooth line under fine jersey, or a wireless design. Because the cup is soft, check the upper edge in the mirror when you try it: it should lie flat against the breast without cutting in or wrinkling.

Two black bottoms share the same front panels. The Paradise K497 high waist briefs cover most of the seat in plain microfibre, which is the pair to reach for under trousers or a work skirt. The Paradise K498 brazilians keep the high waistline but cut away at the back. Buying both is not a duplicate purchase, since they solve different problems in a wardrobe.
How to wash it
Hand wash only, up to 40°C, hooks fastened so they do not catch the tulle. No bleach, no ironing, no dry cleaning, no tumble drying. Reshape the cups while damp and dry flat away from direct heat.
Frequently asked questions
I wear a UK 34G. What Gorsenia size should I order?
UK 34G converts to roughly EU 75I. Order that as your first try, and check the band first: if it rides up at the back, the band is too loose rather than the cup being wrong. Cup letters in the two systems are spaced differently, so a converted size is a starting point rather than a guarantee.
Is the K496 lined or padded?
Neither. There is no foam and no lining in the cup, which is why the front is sheer. Structure comes from the seamed tulle panels and the underwires.
Do the straps come off?
They do not. The shoulder straps adjust in length but are stitched in, and the decorative straps across the cups are fixed as well.
What is the difference between the K497 and K498 briefs?
Both sit high at the waist and share the same lace panels at the front. The K497 covers most of the seat and runs M to 4XL. The K498 is cut narrower at the back with a sheer lower section and runs S to 2XL.
Can the K496 go in the washing machine?
The care label calls for hand washing only, at up to 40°C, with no tumble drying and no ironing.
