The Gorsenia Luisse K441/1 is a non-padded underwired bra built for medium, large and very large cups. Three-piece cups combine an opaque knit with fishnet lace on stable tulle, in a deep chocolate brown with rose gold hardware. Construction code: K441.

How the cup is built

The lower cup is cut from opaque knit, and the upper section and the centre gore are fishnet lace laid over stable tulle. The upper cup edge is finished with a tape that runs on without a break into the strap, so there is no separate join where the strap meets the cup.

The straps, and what they are for

The straps are wide and built from foam and lace rather than plain elastic. Gorsenia's stated purpose for that is to take load off the shoulders and the spine. They adjust for length and do not detach, and the model is made in three strap widths, matched to size, so a larger cup gets a wider strap. Sliders and rings are metal in a rose gold finish.

Band, back and closure

The back is opaque lycra, cut wide, with side bones there to keep the band from rolling in wear. Both the top and the bottom edge of the band are finished with soft binding. Closure is hook-and-eye, two or three rows depending on size, with three positions of band adjustment. Composition is 90% polyamide, 7% elastane, 3% polyester.

How sheer the mesh reads

The fishnet panels are see-through. Skin tone shows through the upper cup and through the centre gore, while the lower cup, the band and the back stay opaque. Under thin or light-coloured clothing the contrast between the opaque lower cup and the open mesh above it can read through, and so can the cup seams.

Sizing

Gorsenia builds bras across bands 65 to 115 and cups A to M as a brand. Most models cover only part of that, and stock moves, so what exists in the K441/1 in chocolate is set by the size selector on this page rather than by the brand range.

One thing worth knowing about the lettering: Gorsenia runs its cup letters straight through the alphabet with no DD, no FF and no GG anywhere in the sequence.
