The Gorsenia Luisse K441 in cream is a non-padded underwired bra in an off-white close to ivory. A stable matte knit forms the lower cup, and sheer tulle with elastic floral lace forms the upper. Construction code: K441.

How the cup is built

Vertical seams run through the lower cup, which is cut from a stable matte knit. Above it sits sheer tulle, with fine elastic lace in the same cream stitched on top. Between the cups, and in the strip beneath them, the fabric changes to a smoother knit combined with tulle. The aim of the construction is to bring the bust in towards the centre, lift it and keep it round, though the result always depends on how well the size fits.

Straps, sides and closure

Instead of plain elastic, the straps are sewn and widened: a foam core, a lace trim and a cotton lining, getting wider as the sizes go up. They can be shortened or lengthened but not taken off. At the sides a firm lycra knit is cut wide, with a vertical bone in each side to hold the bra in position. The back fastens with hooks in three positions, set in two rows on the smaller sizes and three on the larger ones. The fabric is 90% polyamide, 7% elastane and 3% polyester.

What shows in cream

The tulle at the top of the cup is see-through, and the lace is cream on cream, so the pattern reads as tone on tone rather than as an outline. How the sheer part looks against the skin depends on your own skin tone. Under thin white or pale clothing, the lace texture, the cup seams and the contrast between the cream and your skin can all still show.
