The Obsessive Trinise crotchless thong runs a strand of pearl beads through the one place most thongs keep covered. The rest is black lace: a wide scalloped panel across the front and another across the back, both cut high on the leg, with a decorative bow where the back panel meets the pearl string. The crotch is open, framed by two thin elastic straps, and the pearl strand runs between them from front to back.
How the Trinise is cut
The front is a deep panel of stretch lace in a fan pattern, with a plain elastic waistband and a scalloped lower edge. Down its centre runs a short vertical opening closed with two small pearls, one at the top and one part way down, so the panel is split rather than solid. Below the panel the crotch is open: two narrow black straps curve down to the back and the pearl strand hangs between them, fixed at the front to the panel and at the back to the bow. The back is a matching lace panel of the same depth, with the decorative bow at its lower centre. At the back the lace spans the hips, with the bow and the pearl-bead detail continuing vertically below it.
The lace is open-worked and reads sheer through the pattern. The pearl-bead detail is the defining feature of this model, so choose it for that rather than for a plain open cut.
Sizing
The Trinise is made in S/M and L/XL. Compare your waist and hip measurements with the Obsessive size chart rather than going by dress size.
Care
Hand wash at 20 to 30 °C with a mild detergent. If you use the machine, put it in a wash bag on a delicate programme. No bleach. Press the water out, dry flat away from sun and radiators, and do not tumble dry. It arrives in its original Obsessive box.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Trinise open at the crotch?
Yes. There is no gusset. The front and back lace panels are joined only by two thin straps and the pearl strand between them.
Is the lace see-through?
Largely yes. The fan pattern is open-worked, so the skin shows through between the denser lines of the design.
