The Obsessive Olianna two-piece keeps the outline of an ordinary bra and conceals almost nothing, because all of it is cut from transparent patterned lace. The cups are soft and underwired, the straps run through sliders, and the back closes on hooks. The thong has a lace front and side straps that adjust, with a decorative ring at each hip. Three paired sizes, the largest running to 2XL/3XL.
The bra
Soft cups with underwires, no foam and nothing lining them. The lace runs right across the cup instead of leaving the bust open, and it is transparent, worked in an open geometric pattern, so what covers here is the pattern and not the fabric behind it. Straps adjust through sliders and the back closes on hooks. A small metal charm sits at the centre front, between the cups.
Adjustable at the hips
Both side straps on the thong are elastic and adjustable, so the thong can be set after the main size is chosen. A decorative ring joins each side strap to the lace front. The back is cut as a thong, and the crotch on this one is closed.
Sizes
S/M, L/XL and 2XL/3XL. Compare bust, underbust, waist and hips against the Obsessive size chart rather than going by dress size. The bra straps, the back closure and the thong sides can all be adjusted once the paired size is chosen.
Care
By hand at 20 to 30 °C in a mild detergent. If it goes in the machine, use a wash bag and a delicate programme. No bleach, no wringing, no tumble dryer, and dry it flat away from sun and radiators.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Olianna bra padded?
No. The cups are soft and carry no foam. The shape comes from the underwire and the cut of the lace.
How sheer is the lace?
Transparent throughout. The pattern is denser in some places and open in others, so what you get is coverage by pattern rather than by fabric. The cups carry no lining.
Can the thong be adjusted?
Yes. The elastic side straps run through sliders, so the thong can be set narrower or wider after the size is chosen.
