Beige, wire-free and without padding, the Gorsenia Anya K422 is a soft bra for small, medium and large busts. Its cups are moulded by heat from two layers of velvety microfibre, so each one is a single smooth piece, and the straps are broad.
How the cup is supported
A stable band covered in microfibre runs beneath the cups. A stable cotton panel sits on the inner side of each cup, intended to bring the bust in towards the middle. At the sides, microfibre over elastic tulle ends in a broad elastic tape along the bottom edge, and shaped bones sit in the side panels to follow the line of the body. The top edge of each cup is trimmed with decorative mesh over elastic tulle. Overall the fabric is 62% polyamide, 24% cotton and 14% elastane, with the dense, velvety microfibre making up most of the bra.
Straps and back fastening
Under their decorative mesh the straps carry a thin cushion of foam, and their width is meant to relieve strain. They shorten and lengthen but cannot be unclipped. At the back the band closes with two hooks in the smaller sizes and three in the larger ones, with three positions either way. Beige under clothing
No seams cross the cups, so their surface stays even under a close-fitting top. Where the mesh sits, at the neckline, between the cups and on the straps, its texture may show through very thin fabric. Under pale clothes the beige stays discreet if the shade is near your own skin tone.
Who the beige Anya suits
Best for: those who find wires uncomfortable, or want smooth cups without padding under everyday clothes; everyday wear under light or fitted tops, when the beige is near your skin tone; anyone who likes straps with a little cushioning.
Not ideal for: anyone after the lift an underwire gives; anyone who wants a bra with no boning at all; anyone who wants lace or see-through cups.
Care
Fasten the hooks first. Hand wash at 30 to 40 °C with a gentle detergent, or put the bra in a wash bag and use the delicate programme of the machine. No bleach, ironing, dry cleaning or tumble drying.
Frequently asked questions
The cups look moulded. Is there padding inside?
No. They get their rounded form from being heat-formed, and they contain neither padding nor an underwire.
Is it completely free of boning?
Not completely. There are no wires under the cups, but shaped bones sit in the side panels.
