There is almost no fabric in the Obsessive Luiza bodysuit. It is built from soft elastic straps that run over the shoulders, down the torso and around the hips, with a decorative floral appliqué on each side of the bust. The bottom is a thong, minimal but conventional, with a closed gusseted crotch. It ties at the neck and again at the back. Available in black and in red.
Straps, not panels
The straps are soft and elastic, doubled in places and left to cross the midriff without covering it. Where a bodysuit would normally have cups, this one has two floral appliqués sitting on the straps. The bottom is the one part built like ordinary lingerie, a thong with a closed crotch and a gusset.
How it ties
Two ties, one at the neck and one at the back. There is no hook-and-eye fastening anywhere on the piece.
Black and red
The same bodysuit is made in two colours, black and red. Both use the same strappy construction and the same 94% polyamide with 6% elastane blend, and in each the appliqués are worked in the same shade as the straps.
Fabric and sizes
94% polyamide with 6% elastane, the same in both colours. Compare bust, underbust, waist and hips against the Obsessive size chart rather than going by dress size, and keep in mind that a strap-based piece sits differently on different torso lengths.
Care
Hand wash at 20 to 30 °C with a mild detergent. A wash bag on a delicate programme if the machine is easier. No bleach, no tumble dryer. Press the water out and dry it flat, away from sun and radiators.
