Ruffles carry the whole idea of the Obsessive Carrola two-piece, on the shoulder straps, along the cup edge and around the back of the thong, all in transparent polka-dot mesh. The cups are open and the thong is open at the crotch. Underwires sit beneath the bust. Three paired sizes, up to 2XL/3XL.
The bra
Where a closed bra would have fabric above the wire, this one has a ruffle of dotted mesh and then nothing. The shoulder straps carry ruffles of their own and adjust through sliders, and the back closes on two hooks with three positions. Below the bust the band is built from narrow straps rather than a solid panel.
The thong
Open at the crotch, with two straps running along either side of the opening and no gusset between them. A ruffle of the same dotted mesh sits around the back, and the narrow hip straps adjust through sliders.
Two blends, not one
The pieces are not made from the same fabric mix. The bra runs 94% polyamide with 6% elastane, the thong 72% polyamide with 28% elastane, and each carries a second material of 100% polyester. The product contains no nickel.
Sizes
S/M, L/XL and 2XL/3XL, in one combined size for both pieces. Compare bust, underbust, waist and hips against the Obsessive size chart rather than going by dress size. The shoulder straps and the thong hip straps both adjust, and the bra band has three hook positions.
Care
By hand at 20 to 30 °C in a mild detergent. A delicate programme with a wash bag if the machine is easier. Nothing bleached, nothing tumble dried. Press the water out and dry both pieces flat, out of the sun.
Frequently asked questions
Are the cups open on the Carrola bra?
Yes. The underwire runs beneath the bust and a ruffle of dotted mesh finishes the top edge, with nothing covering the bust above it.
Is the thong crotchless?
Yes. The crotch is open, with two straps along the sides of the opening and no gusset panel.
Can the bra and the thong be ordered in different sizes?
No. The set is one article in one combined size, S/M, L/XL or 2XL/3XL.
