The Obsessive Carrola teddy has open cups, an open crotch and polka-dot ruffles on nearly every edge that is left. Underwires frame the bust, narrow adjustable straps trace the body in between, and the ruffled mesh runs along the cup edge and again around the hips. The back closes like a bra, on two hooks with two positions. Three paired sizes, up to 2XL/3XL.
What is open
The cups are open. A wire and a narrow band sit underneath, and above them there is ruffled mesh and nothing else. The crotch is open as well, with two straps running along the sides of the opening and no gusset between them. Between the two openings, the piece is far more strapping than fabric.
Straps and ruffles
Vertical straps run from the underbust band down to the hips on each side, adjustable through sliders. The dotted mesh appears twice, as a ruffle along the cup edge and as a flounce around the hips. The shoulder straps adjust too, and the back fastens on two hooks with two positions.
Fabric
94% polyamide with 6% elastane in the main material, and a second material of 100% polyester. The dotted mesh is transparent, with the pattern reading against the skin underneath. Black throughout, and the piece contains no nickel.
Sizes
S/M, L/XL and 2XL/3XL. Compare bust, underbust, waist and hips against the Obsessive size chart rather than going by dress size. Torso length matters on a one-piece as well, and the chart does not cover it.
Care
Hand wash at 20 to 30 °C with a mild detergent. A wash bag on a delicate programme if the machine is easier. No bleach, no tumble dryer. Press the water out and dry it flat, away from sun and radiators.
