The Obsessive Isseme crotchless thong is built almost entirely from thin black elastic straps, with a string of white beads running through the open crotch and a small black butterfly appliqué at the back. The front is a V of thin elastic meeting at a metal ring, the beads run down from that ring through the open crotch, and at the back they rise to the butterfly appliqué sitting at the centre of the waistband. The side straps adjust through sliders. There is no fabric panel front or back.
How the Isseme is built
The waistband is thin black elastic with a slider and a ring on each hip. From the rings two straps run down to a point at the centre front and end in a small metal ring. The bead strand starts at that ring and continues back through the open crotch, with a narrow black strap on either side of it. Behind, the strand rises to the waistband, and the butterfly appliqué sits over the point where it arrives, wings spreading to either side above the buttocks. A small logo tag hangs from the left front strap.
The composition is 60% polyamide and 40% elastane, and the sliders let you take the waist in or out within the size you choose. Choose the Isseme when you want the beads with the decoration kept to the back, where the butterfly is the only thing to see above the string.
Sizing
Three paired sizes: S/M, L/XL and 2XL/3XL. Compare your waist and hip measurements with the Obsessive size chart rather than going by dress size, then use the sliders for the rest. The product contains no nickel.
Care
Hand wash at 20 to 30 °C with a mild detergent. In the machine, use a wash bag and a delicate programme. No bleach. Press the water out, dry flat away from sun and radiators, and do not tumble dry. It arrives in its original Obsessive box.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the butterfly?
At the back, at the top of the string where it meets the waistband. From the front you see only the straps, the ring and the beads.
Is the crotch open?
Yes. Nothing closes it. Two narrow straps and the bead strand run between the legs, and there is no panel at all.
