Bright pink floral embroidery over a beige base, on a bra that was designed for a fuller bust rather than scaled up to fit one. Full-bust ranges usually run to plain beige and black, so the Nadine is worth a look if you have given up expecting colour above a D cup.
The G014 is unlined and underwired. Shape comes from four-part cups and stable tulle behind the embroidery, with no foam anywhere in the cup.
Cup construction and support
Each cup is divided into four sections, one of which is a side-support panel that sits under the arm. That panel brings tissue in from the side, and the seaming between the other three rounds the bust and draws it toward the centre. Gorsenia builds this construction for medium and large busts.
Support comes from the band, the wires and the seams rather than from padding, which is worth understanding before you buy. An unlined cup gives a softer, rounder line than a moulded one and it moves more. What it does not do is add volume or hold a shape of its own.
Neckline sits high and is finished with elastic tape that carries on into the strap. A small ring joins that tape at the centre gore.
Band, back and straps
Transparent lycra across the back keeps the band close without bulk. Vertical bones at the sides stop it rolling over during a long day. Closure is hook-and-eye, two or three rows depending on band size, each with three positions of adjustment.
Straps adjust for length but do not detach, and they get wider as the size goes up, which spreads the load across the shoulder on the larger cups. Hardware is rose gold.
Sizing: EU, UK and US conversions
Band size comes from your underbust measurement, taken snugly.
- EU 65 = UK/US 30, underbust 63 to 67 cm (about 25 to 26 in)
- EU 70 = UK/US 32, underbust 68 to 72 cm (about 27 to 28 in)
- EU 75 = UK/US 34, underbust 73 to 77 cm (about 29 to 30 in)
- EU 80 = UK/US 36, underbust 78 to 82 cm (about 31 to 32 in)
- EU 85 = UK/US 38, underbust 83 to 87 cm (about 33 to 34 in)
- EU 90 = UK/US 40, underbust 88 to 92 cm (about 35 to 36 in)
- EU 95 = UK/US 42, underbust 93 to 97 cm (about 37 to 38 in)
- EU 100 = UK/US 44, underbust 98 to 102 cm (about 39 to 40 in)
Gorsenia's scale continues to bands 105, 110 and 115, which correspond to UK/US 46, 48 and 50. The size selector on this page shows which bands and cups are available in the G014.
Cup letters cause more confusion than bands. Gorsenia runs a single continuous alphabet with no doubled letters, so the letter on the label is not the UK letter for the same volume.
- EU D = UK D, EU E = UK DD, EU F = UK E, EU G = UK F
- EU H = UK FF, EU I = UK G, EU J = UK GG, EU K = UK H
US labelling varies between brands. Mainstream US labels use DD, DDD and DDDD past D, while some full-bust specialists follow the UK letters. As reference points, UK 32E is roughly US 32DDD, UK 36F is roughly US 36G and UK 34FF is roughly US 34H.
One practical note. Gorsenia cups tend to run deep for their letter, so if you are coming from a UK or US brand and land between two options, try the smaller cup in the correct band before the larger one.
Who the G014 works for
A cup that gathers from the side and centres will read best on a bust that sits wide or drifts outward, and on shapes carrying most of their volume low, where seamed cups do more than a moulded one. The raised neckline covers higher than a balconette, which helps if you usually spill over the top edge.
Less of a match if you want a smooth cup under fine knits, because embroidery shows its own texture, or if you need the bra to convert, since the straps are fixed at both ends. Anyone who wants fully opaque cups should know that the plain tulle areas are not.
What it looks like under clothes
Beige reads quietly under most colours and the transparent back stays discreet. Bright pink is a different matter. Under thin white or pale fabric the embroidery can show as colour, not just texture, so this is a bra for darker tops, patterned shirts and anything with structure. Under a deep V the top of the cup may sit above the neckline.
Matching Nadine briefs
The F014 full briefs cover almost the whole seat and sit at the higher rise of the two. The B014 Brazilian briefs sit lower and cut higher at the leg. Both carry the same embroidery at the front. Nadine is a seasonal collection, so the size you want in all three pieces is easier to get early than late.
Fabric and care
90% polyamide, 7% elastane, 3% polyester.
Hand wash at 40°C. Do not bleach, do not iron, do not dry clean, do not tumble dry. Fasten the hooks first so they do not catch on the tulle.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Gorsenia Nadine G014 padded?
No. The cups are unlined. Their shape comes from four-part seaming, the stable tulle behind the embroidery, and the underwires.
Is it underwired?
Yes. Soft here means no foam, not no wires.
Are the cups and the back see-through?
The back is transparent lycra by design. On the cups, the embroidery is dense and the tulle around it is much finer, so the plainer areas near the top edge read semi-sheer.
Can the straps be removed or crossed at the back?
No. They adjust for length but are sewn in at both ends, so the G014 will not convert to strapless, halter or racerback.
Who makes it?
Gorsenia Sp. z o.o., a Polish manufacturer that has specialised in large cup sizes for over fifty years. It arrives in the brand's own box.
