The Yoko K810 in beige is a Gorsenia soft bra with underwires and no padding, built for medium, large and very large busts. It comes in a soft powder beige, with sheer stripes across the top of each cup in the same shade, a gold-coloured V at the centre and double straps on each shoulder.

How it is put together

Three pieces make up each cup. The lower one is an opaque simplex knit, stable and faintly glossy. The upper one is striped elastic lace with a second layer of stable tulle behind it, added to reinforce the top of the cup and meant to help when one breast is a little fuller than the other, though how much depends on the difference and the size you choose. Gorsenia raises the centre gore and sets the straps out towards the sides so that the bust is gathered firmly inwards and lifted.

The second strap

Look at the shoulder and there are two straps. The narrow one is the binding from the top edge of the cup, which carries on over the shoulder and down the back and has its own adjuster. The main strap comes in 14, 18 or 22 mm depending on size, adjusts for length and stays attached. Its width also sets the fastening: two rows of hooks with the 14 mm strap, three rows with the 18 and 22 mm ones, with three positions either way.

Band and back

Between the cups sits a gore of doubled stable tulle with a gold-coloured metal V on it. The band pairs opaque lycra with see-through elastic tulle, and a wide, soft elastic tape runs along its upper edge. Flat bones in the sides are intended to hold the bra close to the body. The rings and sliders on the straps are gold-coloured and free of nickel. The fabric blend is 90% polyamide, 7% elastane and 3% polyester.

Beige under clothing

The stripes are tone on tone here, so the pattern at the top of the cup is subtle. If this beige is close to your skin tone, it is a quieter choice under pale or white tops. The stripes are still sheer between the bands, though, and a fine knit can show them and the cup seams, and a wide neckline will still show two straps rather than one.

Is the beige K810 for you

Best for: medium to very large busts wanting a firm pull towards the centre; everyday wear under light-coloured clothing, where the shade suits your skin; anyone who likes a strap detail that shows.

Not ideal for: anyone after one simple strap per shoulder; anyone who wants a moulded or wire-free cup.

Care

Close the hooks and wash by hand at 40 °C. No bleach, no ironing, no dry cleaning and no tumble dryer. Lay flat or hang on a line to dry.
