Black Mesh Butterfly Thong Obsessive Veyane

The Obsessive Veyane thong keeps its main ornament for the back: a black guipure butterfly appliqué detailed with silver-coloured metallic thread, set where the back string meets the hip straps. From the front it is as plain as a thong gets, a small triangle of sheer black mesh on two thin elastic straps. The crotch is closed on this model. It is the piece to choose when you want the front to say nothing and the back to say one thing clearly.

Front and back

The front is a low triangle of transparent black mesh, edged in black binding, with a small logo tag at one hip. The hip straps are narrow plain elastic. The front panel has a standard gusset. At the back the mesh gives way to a single string, and the butterfly sits over the point where the string and the two hip straps join, its wings spreading to either side across the lower back. Below the appliqué the back narrows to a single string.

Sizing

Three paired sizes, S/M, L/XL and 2XL/3XL. Compare your waist and hip measurements with the Obsessive size chart rather than choosing by dress size.

Care

Hand wash at 20 to 30 °C with a mild detergent, or use a wash bag on a delicate programme. No bleach. Press the water out, dry flat out of direct sun and away from radiators, and skip the tumble dryer. It arrives in its original Obsessive box.
